Seige of Aleppo, Syria

For more photos, search the hashtag #aleppo.

The city of Aleppo has been a holdout of rebel control since the Arab uprisings spread to Syria in 2011.

Press access and movement has long been restricted within Syria, which makes reporting stories and verifying facts notoriously difficult. The unpredictable violence plaguing Syria also makes reporting exceedingly dangerous.

The photos above, posted by Syrians living in Aleppo, are the latest documentation of the escalating conflict. On Friday, the New York Times reported that government helicopters fired on neighborhoods, and tanks approached the southern end of town.

Why in the world are things spinning into tantrums, threats and belligerent debasement of our peers. Republican or Democrat, Black Brown Red or White, Gay Bi Straight or Transgendered… We all know better and can make a good point without slinging fecal matter and half truths.

Just my humble opinion,

ALL our y’alls friend, Mich
